What Would You Do If You Become A Female Werewolf

Have you ever read werewolf stories when a female lead was reborn as a werewolf? This kind of storyline is a trending read nowadays. What if you dive into your favorite werewolf story, and become the female lead, what will you do then if you become a female werewolf? With the depiction of how werewolves women are in modern fiction, I think becoming one of them is cool.

The female werewolf in werewolf stories is generally called she-wolves. A female werewolf who becomes a wife to an Alpha male is called a Luna. A female werewolf who has rank in a pack may be called Alpha Queen, or the highest female rank is called Suprema or Ultima. But in folklore, the female werewolf is called a werewoman, which means, a woman who assumed a wolf figure in the process of lycanthropy.

Nevertheless, people nowadays have been captivated by how a female werewolf is depicted in fiction stories. They were fierce, and beautiful, exuding such feminine strength that no wonder, a female werewolf has long been an established figure in modern fiction. Nowadays, there are lots of fantasy novels about strong female leads, mainly a female werewolf. Along with alpha werewolves, werewolves women as lead characters in stories have dominated the literary scene too.

Same with alpha werewolves, the female werewolf also shifts under the moonlight. They too have glistening yellow wolf eyes when they’re agitated. They have fangs and claws. They have both human and animalistic natures. And most of all, in modern fiction, a female werewolf has one important role which is integral to the continuity of her pack – the ability to produce offspring.

So, like with those werewolves women in fantasy stories, what would you do if you woke up one day as a female werewolf? What would you do, if, like those in werewolf fiction, you would be reborn as a female werewolf? I bet, at first it would be confusing, then exciting. Like those werewolf fiction stories I read, humans who get reborn as female werewolf were often confused at first with the changes they felt in their physiology, like feeling unfamiliar with their superhuman strength, sense of smell, and sensitivity to the moon.

But then, things get exciting when a female werewolf meets some alphas in the pack. Next, life will become pretty complicated yet adventurous for them, when they get caught up with mating traditions they don’t know yet. The life of a female werewolf, based on stories I read, I could say, is beautiful chaos. And if you’re an adventurous person, I bet you would love becoming a female werewolf.

Okay, so what would you do when you wake up one day as a female werewolf? As for me, here are both my assumptions and suggestions:

1. Test The Super Human Abilities

 Female Werewolf: Jumping High

I think this is the coolest! Waking up as a female werewolf is like waking up as a superhero. With the changes in your DNA, you will feel some changes in your strength and senses, acquiring the wolf nature, like nocturnal vision, moon sensitivity, superhuman speed, beyond human hearing ability, and stamina. Isn’t that stuff cool?

So, what would you do if you became a female werewolf? As for me, I would test those superhuman abilities! See if you can handle it well until you get used to it. Test your feet ‘ strength, like leaping and running from mountain to mountain.

2. Howl To The Moon

 Female Werewolf: Moonlight

Of course, this is the time to check if the myth about the wolf and moon connection is true! So, if you would become a female werewolf why not stand before the moon, and wait if the moon goddess is going to give you a gift, or check if your wolf nature really has a connection to the moon?

A female werewolf howls to the moon to communicate over great distances in order to defend its pack, mark its territory, and attract possible mates.

Despite the romantic concept of a female werewolf howling at the moon, however, scientific experts believed that the moon is not the object of wolves howling. The howling was just romanticized in fantasy stories.

Different societies have invented tales throughout human history to explain things they don’t understand. These ancient tales frequently included natural occurrences and were passed down from one generation to the next.

3. Wait For My Mate

 Female Werewolf: Bride and Groom

Werewolves mate for life! Who would not want that idea? Of course, when you wake up as a female werewolf, why not wait for your mate too? I’ve read fantasy stories about werewolves women waiting for their mate as if it was a very important event in their life.

Werewolves women prepare themselves with much effort for that mating ritual where their mate would come and claim them. In human language, these werewolves’ traditions equal courtship and engagements, and weddings, although the werewolves’ world I think, has a long process of courtship.

And what’s interesting to me, is a werewolf’s loyalty to his mate, like when an alpha werewolf claims a female werewolf in the ritual of choice, then that means, she would only be his mate until death. Isn’t that romantic? So, if you wake up as a female werewolf why not wait for your mate too?

Much has been said about the things we would do if we become a female werewolf, but I guess, this one distinct characteristic of werewolves women, is the coolest of all. A female werewolf’s ability to produce offspring or her fertility is often connected to the moon. In some fiction stories, werewolf women are depicted as mothers, thus, highlighting the maternal side of a female werewolf.

In stories, a female werewolf could assume any character. She can be a badass alpha Queen who leads a pack or a rogue wolf who goes into combat, but I guess it’s a different emphasis of feminine strength when a female werewolf is presented as a mother. And what’s more interesting about werewolves women is their physiology.

Their bodies are endowed with the ability to produce great hybrid offspring and even in the entire pregnancy cycle, they are very reactive to the moon. Even myth claims that the moon has something to do with the fertility and pregnancy of a werewolf woman. Later on, as this myth story has been passed on, it now becomes an element in some urban fantasy stories.

Female Werewolf: Women Empowerment and Diversity

A female werewolf is probably more well-known than it has ever been.

Now, this relatable fictional character comes in many names and symbolizes a lot of things. For other people, the female werewolf becomes a symbol of the chance to retake power. She is the underdog who can challenge colonial or patriarchal authority or a superhuman rebel who can overthrow unjust supremacy. There is something incredibly liberating about the female werewolf, she symbolizes a shedding of all the constraints of what is considered to be proper womanhood.
