Hello, this is STAR READING’s content guidelines. It will tell you:
• The prohibited Content and restricted Content on our Site, Application, and/or Services
• The rules of posting and uploading Content
• What you can do with the Content
• What we can do with the Content
Please read this guideline before using our Site, Application, and/or Services. Whenever you use our services you agree to this guideline.
A. The prohibited Content and restricted Content on our website
a. What’s the Content
Anything that’s available through our Site, Application, and/or Services including but not limited to: text, images, materials, games, videos, software, and anything made by our users (User-generated Content, that’s called).
b. Prohibited and restricted content
Sexual props or items being used in a sexual context; nudity; guns; drug or alcohol use of any kind; profanity of any kind; depiction of bullying; language that relates to racism or racial profiling or stereotypes; put children at risk; illegal; inappropriate (offensive, off-topic or disruptive); infringes anyone’s rights (privacy rights); use of our logo; actual or implied nudity; contains personal details; identifies someone (unless you have their consent or, if they’re under 16, consent their parent or guardian); contains links to Content that can’t be seen easily, may be unsafe (virus, worms, spyware and Trojans) or automatically launches lots of windows; and any other content STAR READING, in its sole and absolute discretion, think is improper on our Site, Application, and/or Services. If you see Content that you think violates this Content Guideline, please reported to our email address at: creatorservice@wehearfm.com. The reported Content will be assessed by our team. Our reviewer teams remove Content that violates our policies and age-restrict Content that may not be appropriate for all users.
c. Deal with copyright infringement
We take intellectual property rights very seriously and comply as a Service provider with all applicable provisions of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) of 1998. We expeditiously terminate repeat infringers pursuant to a "three-strikes" policy. Related infringement can be reported at creatorservice@wehearfm.com.
Please provide STAR READING with (as identified below) the following information:
A physical or electronic signature (typing your full name will suffice) of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf;
Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed;
Identification of the infringing material and information reasonably sufficient to permit STAR READING to locate the material on our website or services;
Your contact information, including your address, telephone number, and email address;
A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material in the manner asserted is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law, and
A statement that the information in the notification is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
If a counter-notice is received by the us, STAR READING may send a copy of the counter-notice to the original complaining party informing that person that it may replace the removed Content or cease disabling it in ten business days. Unless the copyright owner files an action seeking a court order against the content provider, member or user, the removed Content may be replaced, or access to it restored, in ten to fourteen business days (or more) after receipt of the counter-notice. Replacement or restoration of access to the Content shall be in STAR READING’s sole discretion.
ATTENTION: Misrepresentations made in your notice regarding whether material or activity is infringing may expose you to liability for damages (including costs and lawyers' fees).
B. The rules of posting and uploading Content
When you submit, upload or transmit any data, information, media or other Content in the course of using the Licensed Items, you agree that: (a) you are solely responsible for Your Content (and we recommend that you keep a backup copy of it at all times); (b) you will continue to own and be responsible for Your Content; (c) you are granting our affiliate companies and us a perpetual, non-exclusive, transferable, sub-licensable, royalty-free, worldwide license to use Your Content (with no fees or charges payable by us to you) for the purposes of providing, promoting, developing and trying to improve the Licensed Items and our other services. All such use will be in accordance with our Privacy Policy. This license includes granting us the right to and copy, reproduce, host, store, process, adapt, modify, translate, perform, distribute and publish Your Content worldwide in all media and by all distribution methods, including those that are developed in the future; (d) you grant other users of the Licensed Items a non-exclusive and non-transferable license to access and use Your Content within the Software, in accordance with this Agreement; (e) we may share Your Content with third parties that we work with in accordance with the Privacy Policy; and (f) the name avatar that you used to submit Your Content may be shared with third parties.
C. What you can do with the Content
a. When you already have permission
You already have our permission when you:
use open-source code and open data; download our Content for personal use using our download button.
You can share the Content where it has one or more of these buttons next to it:
share; embed; social media button. Please remember, when you share Content to a social media platform, their terms will apply.
b. When you need our permission
You need to request our permission when you:
use our logos and branding; use the metadata and feeds; use the Content for business purpose.
c. What you cannot do with the Content
Don’t use the Content to harm or offend. And don’t put shareables with harmful or for offensive stuff.
Here is an uncompleted list of things that may harm or offend::
Insulting, misleading, discriminating or defaming (damaging people’s reputations); promoting pornography, tobacco, or weapons; putting children in risk; anything illegal, like using hate speech, inciting terrorism or breaking privacy law; anything that would harm the STAR READING’s reputation.
Don’t make it look like they cost money. You can’t charge others for using our Content.
Don’t make a service of your own that contains only our Content.
Don’t exaggerate your relationship with the STAR READING.
Don’t use the Content with advertising or sponsorship.
Don’t misleading about where they came from or imply that someone else made them.
D. What we can do with the Content
You acknowledge and agree that STAR READING and our affiliate companies (subject to this Agreement and applicable laws and regulations): (a) are allowed to retain and continue to use Your Content after you stop using the Licensed Items; (b) may be required to retain or disclose Your Content to comply with applicable laws or regulations; comply with a court order, subpoena or other legal processes; respond to a lawful request by a government authority, law enforcement agency or similar body (whether situated in your jurisdiction or elsewhere); or we believe it is reasonably necessary to comply with applicable laws or regulations; (c) may need to retain or disclose Your Content to enforce this Agreement or to protect any rights, property or safety of ours, our affiliate companies or other users of the Licensed Items.
You understand that even if you wish to delete your Content from the Licensed Items, it may not be possible to do this for some time or at all due to technical or other reasons. We assume no responsibility for the deletion or failure to store the Content, and we expressly do not promise to store or keep the Content. You are solely responsible for saving backup copies of the Content.
We reserve the right to block or remove the Content in some instances.
We may occasionally make changes to this Content Guideline – please review this Content Guideline from time to time.
