Fortunately for her, her mysterious husband, Zachary is far from being a boring, cold person. He instantly develops protective feelings towards his wife, hovering over her and getting her out of her messes constantly.
Overall, Zachary’s perpetual protection may seem off, but if you think about it, he’s like this omniscient hero wannabe. He’s protective and strong, not to mention billionaire and extremely hot!

Part 1: Leading Characters Of Married At First Sight
Zachary is one of the primary characters in Married At First Sight novel. He is described as being a gorgeous billionaire, wearing a poker face, thus never knowing his true feelings or intentions.
Fortunately, our handsome boy is more than meets the eye. Though he may seem indifferent to his arranged marriage with Serenity, in fact he does everything in his power to make things work. He protects his wife, shares meals with her and constantly keeps his eye on her. No wonder he is always at the right place at the right time to save the day!
Trusting and falling in love with a stranger may not seem to be in the cards for Zachary but it still happens. Slowly but surely, they begin to open up, build confidence and show affection to one another.
Serenity is a beautiful girl who seems to have had a great deal of bad luck in her life. Living with her sister and her brother-in-law, she overhears them talking and realizes she’s unwanted in their home.
This pushes the girl to make a decision that would change her life forever. She marries a complete stranger, thinking that she would have someone to share her simple life with. Serenity only seeks respect from Zachary, not dreaming about love and passionate relationship.
As she’s never been the girl to love the spotlight or a social star, a monotonous life suited her very well. It’s not until danger and excitement surrounded her that she realized how much she needed adrenaline.
Zachary’s constant care overwhelmed her at first, but once she adjusted to his protection, she opened up her heart to him. Overall their interactions are shy and clumsy at first, much to the reader’s pleasure, but once they feel comfortable around each other, you start getting a passionate vibe from them.
Part 2: The Core Of Married At First Sight Book
In a world where everybody tries to fit in, Zachary and Serenity dare to stand out. Each of them pushed by different reasons, they agree to marry one another although they have never met or even talked to each other.
Grandma May turned out to be a real Cupid for her grandson and Serenity as she is the one who pushed them to get married in the first place. Her excitement dimmed a little in the beginning as she watched Zachary dismiss his wife right after signing the papers, but as the story unravels, her match making turns out to be just right.
For a man who seems oblivious to everything that doesn’t bring him any benefit, Zachary can be quite surprising. He forbids his wife from calling him, even blacklisting her number at some point, he refuses to partake in any social gatherings keeping his marriage under the wraps, but at the same time, he encourages Serenity to decorate their home, make a deposit for a new car and improve her life.
The main goal for Zach is to keep his wife in the dark regarding his wealth, posing as an average worker with a middle income. Yet, he still tries to put at her disposal a credit card with a generous amount of money and he’s even hurt by her refusal.
Serenity enters her marriage wholeheartedly, with no secrets to hide. She actually believes her husband is a hard-working man who’s focused on his job and works extra hours for a better income.
But, as truth always comes to surface, Serenity begins to suspect that there is more to Zach than he lets on, and starts digging for the truth. As reality sinks in and knowing that Zachary is a billionaire who actually has several luxurious properties he calls his homes, their marriage suffer a major setback. All the trust the man gained from his wife is lost and he needs to win her back.
Part 3: Romance Book Review: Married At First Sight
Writing romance is tricky. If the characters aren’t complex enough to show and express genuine emotions while overcoming their obstacles, then the entire work is a complete fail. Married At First Sight is a win for me. I’m impressed with how real the relationship between the leading characters can be. It’s actually exciting to see their romance develop, while stumbling upon different impediments and overcoming their fears and insecurities.
It takes more than a scene to make love real and have the characters earn it, but the author does a terrific job portraying their interactions and romance development. It’s a terrific novel and what’s even better is that you can read Married At First Sight online.
