Amelia Garcia was sick, and the doctor had told her that she had only three months left to live. As if that tragedy was not enough, on the very day that she would break the sad news to her husband, James Evans, he served her a divorce agreement. James Evans requested that Amelia make herself available in a certain penthouse where she would clean herself inside and outside for him. Amelia did as her husband had requested according to the novel, I Got Married Without You, and then he ordered her towards him.
As Amelia had confessed in the novel, there was no time that James had sex with her that he did it in a gentle and loving manner, he was always rough and tough, and so Amelia saw it as the norm when he had her on that special night, but something else followed. As soon as Jame was done having Amelia’s body, he slammed a contract cancellation agreement in front of her, much to the shock of Amelia. Well, we would not exactly call it a divorce, it was rather that James Evans had fired Amelia Garcia from being his wife. Yes! Amelia Garcia had been sacked from the position of Mrs. Evans.

Chapter 3
“Eva, I need a place to crash.”
Amelia had just left her husband, James Evans’ house. She could stay at her apartment, but according to I Got Married Without You Novel, she chose to stay with her friend, Eva. Eva was an orphan just like Amelia, and together, they had dedicated themselves to be the family both of them did not have, to each other. Amelia announced to her friend that her marriage of five years had eventually come to an end, and Eva was ready to accept her grieving friend in to grieve with her.
But that was not all that mattered in this chapter of the novel. In this same chapter, the real love of James Evans’ life had returned to the country and would soon be announced as the new CEO of the company. Amelia was about to meet her rival. Amelia had just clocked in work and was at that moment typing her resignation letter when a colleague of hers came in, excitedly announcing that a memo was passed via email, stating that the new CEO of the company would arrive that very day.
Chapter 5
This chapter of I Got Married Before You Novel reveals the intense love James Evans had for the original love of his life, Emily. Who did not know James Evans to be a cold and aloof man, so when the company which he was the president of, saw him enter the building with Emily by his side and clinging to him like a fish in water, they were shocked and could swear that James loved Emily so much for him to give her that sort of attention and preferential treatment.
“Mr. Evans personally picked her up and escorted her on her first day of work? That has to mean he still loves her.”
“It’s not just that. She’s only just returned to the country and she’s already taking over as the CEO. So the old shareholders may not be completely convinced she’s up to the task. By escorting her on her first day, Mr. Evans is warning every one that she is similar to our new CEO.”
While Amelia could only sit and watch the drama that was unfolding in front of her, her colleagues chatted on and tried to make sense of what James Evans was doing with Emily who had just returned from the country. With the way they clinged on to each other, one thing was certain, and that was that Emily was to be treated with the utmost respect as she now held a high position in the company. He did not care what anyone else thought, as all he knew according to I Got Married Before You Novel was that Emily was here to stay.
Part 2: Main Plot Of I Got Married Without You
Amelia Garcia was an orphan, and happened to be married to James Evans, a renowned billionaire and playboy in the city. Actually, according to I Got Married Without You Novel, their marriage was a secret. Nobody knew that Amelia Garcia and James Evans were married, except of course the closest people to them like Amelia’s friend, Eva, and James’ assistants and lawyer. They had signed a contract marriage that as at the time the novel started, would end in six months.
Amelia and James had been married secretly for five years before it reached the end of their period together. One fateful day, James Evans requested that Amelia be brought to a luxurious penthouse, cleaned to be the squeakiest and sparkling, then he ordered her to walk up to him where he started kissing her all of a sudden. Amelia was used to James suddenly starting to have sex with her and having it in the unruliest way, so when he started out on her that day, she thought it was business as usual. Well, it was business as usual as far as having sex with Amelia was concerned, but James had something else to offer after the hot sexual dish he served Amelia that day.
James had just finished with Amelia when he announced to her that she had been fired from being his wife. Yes, fired. It was not going to be a divorce since it was a false marriage and they had signed a contract for a stipulated time, but it was a straight up sack notice. Amelia, of course, was taken aback. Amelia had just been diagnosed to be very ill and had only three months to be alive. That very day, she was going to tell James of her ailment, but he had taken her by surprise. Amelia held her report back. She felt bad and tried to make James forget about the sack and allow the three months they had together to elapse, but James refused.
Amelia only had three months to live, and according to I Got Married Without You Novel, she wanted to spend her last days with James whom she loved so much, but James was not bothered as far as the love of his life had returned to the city. James was no longer interested in Amelia and would not even give her a chance to tell him of her ailment. Seeing that James had made up his mind and was bent on the divorce, Amelia straightened up in front of him, not giving him the satisfaction of seeing her in a state of sorrow. Of course, no woman would be happy to be in Amelia’s place, but even more, no woman would love to see the satisfaction of her humiliation on the face of the person responsible for her feeling that way.
Amelia Garcia agreed with James according to I Got Married Without You Novel, and in fact, decided that she would totally resign from working at his company, which she immediately started to do after she had left James’ house and went to live with her friend so that she could have company while she broods. While Amelia was typing her resignation letter on what was supposed to be her last day at work, her colleague informed her about the new CEO that was going to resume work that day. Amelia heard what her friend had said, but there was no way she could be bothered. All she knew was that she was leaving.
Well, Amelia could leave if she wanted to, but it would not be before a final humiliation from the woman she had been a substitute wife for. As soon as Emily walked into the office, Amelia eventually understood her role as Mrs. Evans. There was a heavy resemblance between Amelia and the new CEO, Emily, who happened to hold on to James Evans so closely as they walked into the company. It was rumored that Emily was the love of James’ life, but she had turned down his proposal five years ago because she had to leave the country for her studies, but now she had returned to take what was rightfully hers, James Evans.
A lot made sense to Amelia now. According to I Got Married Without You Novel, anytime James was having sex with Amelia, he always mentioned a name that Amelia had a hard time understanding. It sounded like Amelia, but it wasn’t Amelia exactly, yet Amelia could not just figure out the name on her husband’s lips while he had sex with her. But on this occasion of a new CEO that looked exactly like her, Amelia could not deduce that the name that had been on her husband’s lips for five years anytime he wanted to have sex with her was none other than, Emily.
Part 3: Conclusion Of I Got Married Without You
I Got Married Without You portrays heartbreak and what one would get when one does not tell himself or herself the truth. James Evans stated from the beginning that Amelia was going to be his wife for a stipulated amount of time. As much as she desired for him to eventually love her, she should not have been so sure that it would happen according to how she wished.
Anyway, I love how she made sure she left James’ house without putting up any dramatic scene whatsoever. She respected herself and left a marriage that was false from the very first day. Kudos to the author for painting the plot in a more realistic way than we are used to seeing in web novels.
