The Prince’s Bride Book | Best Romance

The Prince’s Bride is an arranged marriage novel, in which the romance stories involve Prince Galahad “Gale” of Ersovia, a spoiled playboy prince, and Odette Wyntor, an American heiress who can only obtain her inheritances through marriage. Both parties don’t tend to be interested in seeking one another, yet, their families think they are the match made in heaven.

Odette comes from a wealthy family, and even though none of the chapters in The Prince’s Bride mention her conditions, I get the impression that she has some daddy issues. It is a normal thing for her, since becoming The Prince’s Bride is not originally her choice. In addition, the prince himself agrees to get married only to please his family.

So, we can guess that the romantic moments in The Prince’s Bride burn slowly. In addition, the characteristic growths tend to move slowly and steadily throughout the novel’s chapters. So, we can see how love enables a spoiled prince to access his hidden soft sides. The romantic scenes may not be so spicy; however, The Prince’s Bride is full of heartfelt quotes from both MCs.

Part 1: Meet The Characters Of The Prince’s Bride

Odette Wyntor

The Prince's Bride Odette

Odette Wyntor of The Prince’s Bride is the daughter of one of the wealthiest families in Seattle. She is already 27 years old, and she has made decent sums of money by becoming a singer. However, her parents don’t like to see her still single. At the same time, they think Odette will make a perfect match for one of the princes.

I see Odette as a contrasting character to Prince Gale in The Prince’s Bride. Prince Gale seems childish but is actually mature, while Odette behaves otherwise throughout the chapters. However, Odette’s behaviors are explainable to me because of her daddy issues.

Prince Galahad “Gale” of Ersovia

The Prince's Bride Gale

In The Prince’s Bride, Prince Gale starts off as a self-centered and childish crown prince of the Ersovia kingdom. He is also a playboy, which means, he refuses to get tied into a serious monogamous relationship. The only reason for Gale to agree to the arranged marriage with Odette is that he wants to please his family.

As we read more of the chapters in The Prince’s Bride novel, we’ll realize that Gale eventually learns to properly woo a woman. His sent letters and flowers to Odette bear meaningful messages. Plus, he also learns to show his vulnerable side in a loving way.

Part 2: Story Of The Prince’s Bride

The Prince's Bride Novel

The story of The Prince’s Bride opens up by telling the readers about the bride-to-be first. She is Odette Wyntor, a 27-year-old singer who is a daughter from a wealthy family in Seattle. Odette has won many beauty pageants since she was a child, and right now, she lives with her mother.

In The Prince’s Bride, Odette’s late father left her billions of dollars as inheritances that she should divide with her stepsister. She can only claim her part when she got married. Here is the part where I thought Odette’s family has grown tired of her “eternal single” status, even when her father was still alive.

Somehow, Odette’s family has built solid relationships with the Ersovia kingdom. The Ersovia kingdom has a bachelor prince, and he is Prince Galahad a.k.a.

Gale of Ersovia kingdom. He is a playboy, self-centered, spoiled, and materialistic despite coming from a royalty background – strangely, both Odette’s family and the Ersovia kingdom’s family members think the pairing will be the match made in heaven, and that Odette should be The Prince’s Bride.

Story Of The Prince's Bride

So, here’s the part where becoming The Prince’s Bride is never her choice. Prince Gale is also not interested in the singer girl, either. The only reason he accepts the arranged marriage is that he wants to please his family.

Therefore, the romantic moments between Odette and Prince Gale throughout The Prince’s Bride novel are slow-burn, and there are not many spicy moments between the two.

At first, Gale’s bombards of poems, sweet words, gifts, and others, are reminiscences of his notorious reputation as a playboy. In other words, he could be doing the same thing to other girls. Eventually, though, Gale starts to discover the proper ways to woo Odette, his love, while committing himself to the singer girl.

Part 3: Meet The Author Of The Prince’s Bride

The Prince's Bride by JJ McAvoy

JJ McAvoy, the author of The Prince’s Bride novel, was born in Montreal, Canada. Right now, she is 30 years old and lives in Virginia, while continuing her education.

Even though her educational background isn’t related to the novel writing “job”, she loves writing novels so much. In particular, JJ McAvoy is one of the best romance novel specialists, whose books are almost everywhere online.

The Prince’s Bride is one of JJ McAvoy’s newest novels. After all, it was first published in the mid-2020s. Additionally, this is the first novel from the same series by the same author. I would say that 2020 becomes one of the most productive years for JJ McAvoy to finish the series since the second book comes one month after the first book.

The entire series itself involves the same couple: Odette and Gale. We can see Gale getting more mature throughout the novel’s chapters and series, whereas Odette is Not so much. Her dad may have passed away, which should grant her lots of room for improving her character. Well, at least, Odette becomes more liberated to explore herself at the end of the novel’s stories.

I so love the quotes JJ McAvoy gives for the characters. Many readers also praise how JJ McAvoy describes Gale’s poetic parts. Speaking of which
