Part 1: The Primary Backgrounds Of The Luna Choosing Game Book
Piper’s need to nurse Elva, her daughter, back to health, are things that motivate her to work. She is a restaurant waitress at the start of the chapters in The Luna Choosing Game book. There, she works under an extremely toxic Boss who loves to harass the employees’ physiques and use the company’s rules for his gains at the expense of other people.
At that time, the Werewolf Kingdom’s economy is crumbling. Piper’s job seems to be her only option to save Elva’s life from her pneumonia disease. So, she tries her best to endure the toxicity in her workplace and the 14 hours of non-stop working periods. Sometimes, Piper’s Boss would also threaten her with self-made rules if she didn’t want to stay quiet when he played with Piper’s body without her consent.
That day finally comes when Piper can’t stand her Boss’ harassment and bullies anymore. So, she yells at him demanding he will stop. Unfortunately, toxic people never change; the same thing applies to Piper’s Boss. He forces Piper to participate in The Luna Choosing Game, the matchmaking game that the Kingdom held for all single and virgin young ladies to have handsome-looking and single prince werewolves to take them home.
Piper might only be a waitress. However, The Luna Choosing Game isn’t a foreign game for her. She has watched it several times on TV channels with her best friends. Yet, participating in The Luna Choosing Game is the last thing she would do.
Elva was born from Piper’s half-sister who set Piper up to break up with Nicholas, her ex-boyfriend. Piper’s half-sister also conspired with Nicholas to throw Piper and Elva away from their lives. Now that Piper participates in The Luna Choosing Game, she sees Nicholas once again. This time, Nicholas is one of the lineups.

Part 2: Meet The Characters Of The Luna Choosing Game Book
Piper
Piper of The Luna Choosing Game book is an employee with a proven work ethic. She works hard more than she can take, and she always delivers results on time. Her only rebellion is when her toxic Boss spanks her back and expects her to keep quiet. Then, again, she only does those things to defend herself, not for the sake of breaking the company’s rules.
She is also a loving mother to Elva. Such a thing makes Piper different from her scheming half-sister. Elva might not be her daughter; however, that’s how she addresses and treats Elva. Reading The Luna Choosing Game book gives me an impression of Piper’s kind-hearted and protective nature toward the people she loves the most. However, people from her past, including her ex-boyfriend, become her self-growth obstacles.
Nicholas
Nicholas of The Luna Choosing Game used to be Piper’s boyfriend, and he also knows about Piper’s half-sister. However, Piper’s half-sister manipulates his feelings by “exchanging” Piper with her. Thus, it screws Piper’s images in Nicholas’ eyes. Furthermore, it results in Nicholas’ break-up with Piper when she is pregnant and nursing Elva.
A few years have passed since their break-ups, and Nicholas has returned to the Werewolf Kingdom’s most famous matchmaking game: The Luna Choosing Game. Nicholas’ reappearance triggers Piper’s feelings as she carries Elva with her. Nicholas doesn’t care if Piper and Elva are together; after all, he only wants to see Elva.
Part 3: Some Analysis About The Luna Choosing Game Book
In The Luna Choosing Game book, Piper and her half-sister might have many physical similarities that make other people struggle to differentiate between them. Piper’s half-sister’s brilliance in playing the victim and setting up the stages can fool people into thinking that Piper’s half-sister is the kind-hearted soul, while the original Piper is the rebellious and wolfless lady waitress worthy to be targeted and killed.
Such a thing happens to Nicholas, who eventually breaks up with Piper because of the lies. Breaking up with our beloved is never an easy experience, and I can see it’s what Piper feels. After all, Elva’s sickness adds to Piper’s struggles. Not only that Piper’s half-sister, who is also Elva’s biological mother, abandon her, but Elva’s increasing medical bills also give Piper a headache.
Reading the first half of the chapters in The Luna Choosing Game book gives me the impression that Piper’s wishes to move on from Nicholas’ images are the results of her half-sister’s deception. In other words, I don’t believe Piper and Nicholas don’t move on from each other yet.
Nicholas’ wish is to see Elva, and, at first, his wish was born that way not because he loves Piper, but because the lingering image of his idealized version of Piper is the one he loves. Hence, he still feels the pull to believe his idealized version of Piper is Elva’s actual mother, and he wants to be the best father that way.
On the other hand, Piper’s only wish is to get out of The Luna Choosing Game for good. After all, she never has any interest in participating in The Luna Choosing Game, especially when she has to encounter Nicholas. Piper doesn’t care even if her ex-boyfriend has turned into a drop-dead gorgeous prince.
Yet, it’s not easy to reunite these two souls, and it adds to the twists we see in The Luna Choosing Game book.
Part 4: An Alternative Novel To The Luna Choosing Game Book
Being “The Chosen One” is one of the key elements we witness in The Luna Choosing Game book. Here, Piper might be different than the rest of the participants. All of those single young ladies are competing with each other to gain the prince’s long-term attention. Piper possesses no interest in “pursuing” those yummy-looking princes; yet, the scenes consistently picture her as “The Chosen One”, especially for the drop-dead gorgeous Prince Nicholas.
Piper has nothing to brag about at the start of The Luna Choosing Game. First, she is technically too old to participate. The age limit is 22 years old, and she has hit far beyond the limit. Second, Elva’s presence and Piper’s continual reference to her as her daughter give other participants the impression that Piper is no longer a virgin. Third, and most importantly, Piper is a wolfless she-wolf.
Those three things are enough for Piper to receive the “unwanted” label. Prince Nicholas’ acknowledgment and exception to the rules are two things that change Piper’s life. Eventually, it also leads her to a “Big Star” status, as more people see beyond her appearances.
So, “Unwanted Luna Became A Big Star” is the alternate novel that I recommend to you if you love the stories in The Luna Choosing Game. Here, we can witness a pretty-looking model’s life and her “deal challenges” with Elijah, a big bad wolf who is also a modeling agency owner.
Only one wins the challenge, and reading Unwanted Luna Became A Big Star will keep us wondering, who will be “The Chosen One” among the MCs?
