The Billionaire’s Forgotten Wife Chapter 1
Like any other novel’s opening chapters, Chapter 1 of The Billionaire’s Forgotten Wife tells us a background story of how Ileana, the main female character of the novel, starts despising her husband. Not only that Greyson (a.k.a “Grey“) Novak forces her to sit down patiently at the church’s altar, but he also forces Ileana to be imprisoned in his residence.
There, Ileana feels alone and miserable almost all the time. Not only that she rarely sees her husband, but the tyrannical Grey also forces her to do all of the house works.
As we continue to read Chapter 1 of The Billionaire’s Forgotten Wife, we also know that Mrs. Burton, one of the maids in Greyson’s residence, sides with her master in forcing Ileana to do as her husband wishes her to.
Those people in The Billionaire’s Forgotten Wife keep on asking Ileana where will she go, what times will she go, and more. They continue to ignore Ileana’s wishes to be free because they obey Greyson more.
The Billionaire’s Forgotten Wife Chapter 2
Chapter 2 of The Billionaire’s Forgotten Wife has the title “Birthday Misery“. True to a part of the title, the author of The Billionaire’s Forgotten Wife opens up the story by telling us that Ileana is baking a cake for Adonis, her brother. As usual, Mrs. Burton tries to stop her, because the maid is so scared of Mr. Novak a.k.a Greyson.
This chapter is also the chapter where we learn the histories of Ileana’s four bodyguards. Mark and Kennedy had been her bodyguards since she was 17, while the other two bodyguards are the bodyguards that Grey has appointed to oversee (read: help him stalk) her whenever possible.
Additionally, we also learn from this chapter of The Billionaire’s Forgotten Wife that Adonis, Ileana’s older brother, doesn’t defend her. Even though he appears to have nothing to do with Grey, he still treats Ileana as if she was a big kid.
The Billionaire’s Forgotten Wife Chapter 3
For me, Chapter 3 of The Billionaire’s Forgotten Wife is one of the most intense chapters in the whole novel. The moment I see the chapter’s title (“Contractual Obligations- So Romantic“) is also the moment when I realized this chapter is one of the climax points in The Billionaire’s Forgotten Wife novel.
The story opens up by telling us that Ileana started experiencing some irregularities in her life, including sleeping for whole hours during her important meetings. As soon as she reaches the kitchen, she sees the control-freak husband, Greyson Novak, sitting down relaxedly and looking at her with gazes that are too uncomfortable for a woman to describe.
All Greyson could do is only silent-treat his wife whenever Ileana demands her freedom in front of him. Here, we also witness another scene that shows Greyson’s hunger for controlling his wife: Talks about the children in their marriage contracts! I wonder what is this man up to.
The Billionaire’s Forgotten Wife Chapter 4
Chapter 4 tells further stories about Greyson’s controlling behaviors. As I read through this chapter, I get the impression that Greyson is not satisfied when he believes he can no longer control his wife’s moans and demands.
So, this chapter tells us how Greyson uses his flying monkeys to spy on his wife. Mrs. Burton and the bodyguards are his flying monkeys, and they stop at nothing even though Ileana doesn’t answer Mrs. Burton anymore.
The flying monkeys in The Billionaire’s Forgotten Wife finally locate Ileana in a general hospital. There, we see Ileana having fun with her bodyguard and a small child named Sarah. Then, again, I’m puzzled, what will Grey get in constantly bugging The Billionaire’s Forgotten Wife Ileana?
