Second, Rowan builds his house with Emma in his mind, and Emma’s spirit haunts Rowan’s mind most of the time when he marries Ava.
Emma has stolen Ava’s precious family and husband, which makes me think it’s normal for Ava to feel immense hate and bitterness towards Emma. Then, again, Ava’s family members aren’t that supportive of her. I am glad Ava can build her support systems from within, even when she has divorced Rowan nine years later.
Ava has gone through many challenging moments in Ex-Husband’s Regret, and I can see her resilience strengthens her character. Such a shame for Rowan if, after such a lengthy introspection period, he got stuck with the other woman instead of returning to Ava!
For a man like Rowan of Ex-Husband’s Regret, the introspection moments after nine years have passed should be beyond a mere look. When he realizes Ava’s uniqueness and resilience, he would think twice about even letting Emma’s image haunt him and ruin his life.
