1. The chapter “Mates on a Plane” of Alpha’s Broken Mate
Their connection was instantaneous!
Andrew’s wolf recognizes Catalina as his mate but he is offended by the way she is being treated in the pack. Catalina on the other hand almost suffers an abusive episode from her brother Shawn and is only saved by the timely intervention of her other brother, David.
Catalina’s mother warns her not to fuck things up for she is their key to getting on the good side of a bigger pack. After her father sells her to Alpha Andrew for a million dollars, he takes her to fly a plane and discovers she has never left her pack before then.

2. Chapter “White Wolf” on Alpha’s Broken Mate
Alpha Jackson manages to track Catalina to Andrew’s pack. He uses his devious means and gets her cornered in an elevator. As he begins to abuse and torture her in the elevator again, she starts to have recollections about her abusive past.
Before alpha Jackson could do much harm, Andrew comes to her rescue and banishes Jackson from the pack’s territory, warning Jackson that he would be treated as a hostile should he ever return. However, that is something Jackson looks forward to.
Andrew then strives to understand the mystery behind his mate’s past and called on Gamma Lucas to explain to him for Lucas was once a member of Catalina’s pack. He tells Andrew about the first time she transformed, and the apathy that followed once it was discovered she was a White wolf, something that contradicted her family’s black wolf fur.
This chapter had me squirming, especially the rescue scene!
3. The chapter “My Powers” From Alpha’s Broken Mate
Catalina trains with Jet, Lilith, and Gamma Lucas on how to control the power of the Phoenix inside her (Yup, things have taken a twist).
In the heat of training, she loses control over her powers and falls so hard that she is knocked out. Jet picks her up and takes her to care for her but that incites the anger of Andrew who knows Jet is in love with her.
A jealous brawl ensues (which is funny by the way) and the two men begin to learn how to settle their differences. They are family, after all. Andrew is Jet’s mate brother.
But he cannot deny his attraction to Catalina. Will that cause a fight? I won’t tell.

The Alpha’s Broken Mate is indeed a book that is capable of relieving you and making you cry at the same time. But even great books have their limitations, and the best way you can appreciate their excellence is to pick them up and read them yourself. Although the Alpha’s Broken Mate may be quite slow sometimes, it easily makes up for it with its plenty of exciting scenes.
