Francesca Rossi is the 19-year-old “princess” in The Kiss Thief novel. She is a woman you’d like to consider as a complete package: Attractive, polished, sophisticated, delicate, wild child tendencies, pure, genuine, and kind-hearted. She is also the mob princess of the Rossi mafia clan.
As a mob princess, Francesca has already known to keep herself on the men’s backgrounds. She initially only exists as a tool to please the Senators. She has desired independence, yet, it seems to be further away from her reach.
Wolfe Keaton
Senator Wolfe Keaton is the 31-year-old villain in The Kiss Thief novel. His drop-dead sexiness, ruthless ambition, overall meanness, arrogance, and dominance, are the assets that make him always get what he wants.
In The Kiss Thief, Wolfe doesn’t only steal Francesca’s heart. Instead, he also aims to steal her other assets, such as her pride as the mob princess and a woman. At first, Wolfe appears obsessive toward Francesca. The more I read The Kiss Thief novel, the more I realize Wolfe becomes more protective of his princess.

Shen states that she loves writing female characters who can bring the bad boys weak into her knees with their different personalities.
The Kiss Thief is not an exception here. Senator Wolfe Keaton in The Kiss Thief is obviously a bad boy – nothing nice about him, just plain meanness and disrespect for everyone else but himself. Meanwhile, Francesca Rossi, the female MC, is the classical example of a kind-hearted girl who falls into the dark schemes of the mafia groups.
In my opinion, L. J. Shen pictures the MCs in an interesting light when she writes this book. After all, it is from reading this book that I realize not all mafia members are bad people. Francesca is a pure and brave soul despite her status as a mob princess, while Senator Wolfe is a protective and altruistic man behind his mean guy masks.
As with other dark romance stories, the romance scenes in this novel are mostly spicy, if not using some dominance versus submissiveness elements. At the same time, there are other elements, such as betrayals, politics, and the like. No doubt that it becomes one of the best romance books.
