Summary
An 11-year-old girl, after the death of her parents in the war, vowed to find the people who did it. Left alone, she should by law have been thrown out of the pack, but her aunt took her into her own care. From that day on, for exactly seven years, she gave herself to the army, becoming one of the youngest and best soldiers in the pack.
On her eighteenth birthday, by coincidence or by a twist of fate, a girl's life was turned around one hundred and eighty degrees. Pack Alpha gives an unbelievably strong smell, but he is not the only one who attracts the girl's attention, as Alpha's brother, visiting his family from another pack, from other side of the big city wall where life is dark, attracts even more.
As the minutes tick by, everything turns around, the girl takes part in a ceremony to atone for her true heart's desire - the ceremony of the joining of souls. The aftermath allows the girl to see in her dreams the details of the two brothers' past - dark, painful, sad and crushing.
