Summary
“This is it, sweetheart. It's almost midnight. Are you ready?" Dad asked cupping my cheeks with his hands and kissing me on my forehead. I nodded. I was nervous, but I could not afford to show it. I had to be strong for them. I have heard how these transformations occurred and I was hoping to survive mine.
“I am ready dad" I replied taking a deep breath and standing in the middle of our basement. "Remember princess, it's going to be painful, so hold on and embrace it, don't fight it. It will all be over before you know it" he said once again before letting go of me.
Being chased by hunters, King Ulric and Queen Alianor try to escape to save their daughter’s life. The Gargoyle family travels to the human world and leaves their daughter in the care of a human couple, who find her on a bench on the cold winter night.
Thea or Stella Burke as her human parents call her is raised into adulthood where she would shift into a Gargoyle and discover her true powers. Being of royal blood she is kidnapped by hunters, who want to get revenge on the Royal Gargoyles, but she won’t be easy.
Isaiah Parker, a human hunter sent to bring Stella to his leader, discovers there is more to her than meets the eye. And on his mission to bring her to his leader, they discover they are mates and he will do anything to protect her.
Author's Note: In this story, the main character is named Thea, by the King and Queen. But the parents that raised her will name her Stella. I will be using both names depending on whose point of view I use. To clear any confusion."
