We can only see Felicia’s status as Alastor’s secretary after Alastor gives excuses about it to Anastasia in the early chapters of Whispers Of Betrayal. Then, again, Felicia barely does the jobs.
Felicia might have just returned from abroad. She also captivates Alastor’s heart more than Anastasia. However, Felicia is as cunning and petty as Alastor in how she engages in unnecessary fights with Anastasia. WhatsApp and Instagram are her two favorite ways to humiliate Anastasia. Unfortunately, we never know if Felicia will ever succeed in her so-called mission for Anastasia.

My eyes are mostly on Alastor when I read Whispers Of Betrayal novel. While other books picture billionaires as highly capable men who build their business empires, manage their money, hire competent people, and others by themselves, Alastor’s characteristics in Whispers Of Betrayal seem more relatable.
After all, Alastor’s billionaire status stays at a mere status. He has been the ultimate free-rider since he hasn’t married Anastasia. First, the mention of Alastor’s grandfather in Whispers Of Betrayal implies Alastor has parents regardless of whether his parents are dead or alive. Yet, Alastor chooses to stay with his grandfather. Perhaps, Alastor does it because his grandfather is wealthier than his parents.
Fame and money are some of Alastor’s superficial goals in Whispers Of Betrayal. I don’t believe a man like Alastor would love a woman with his heart. Even Felicia stays as a mistress to Alastor. The most sensible thing about Alastor and his relationship with Anastasia and Felicia is that Alastor refuses to choose one of these women because he can keep wearing his masks to woo these women.
Yet, Anastasia’s intelligence remains her personality even in her cancerous disease. Such a thing in Whispers Of Betrayal becomes an admirable thing from her apart from her resilience. Anastasia might not possess fearsome physical strength, but she also appears the way an ideal wife should be. Yet, she doesn’t want Alastor’s antics to get into her.
Felicia’s use of social media websites to humiliate Anastasia doesn’t only emphasize her cowardly nature. Felicia has also failed to kill two birds with one stone. Not only has she failed in destroying Anastasia’s self-confidence, but Felicia has also failed to strip Anastasia away from her rightful status as Alastor’s wife.
