Part 1: Attractive storyline and hot characters from Tokyo Ever After

Tokyo Ever After is a young adult fiction writer by Emiko Jean who is known for fictional works such as Empress of all seasons and we’ll never be apart. If you have been a fan of Emiko Jean, here is Tokyo Ever After.

Tokyo Ever After is a young adult novel that revolves around Izumi Tanaka. The teenager has always felt like she never really fit in in the town or Northern California.

Izzy whole life has been raised by her single mother but when she discovers her father’s identity her life isn’t average or irreverent anymore. She learns that her father is none other than the crown prince of Japan and Izzy is a princess.

Tokyo Ever After continues with Izzy who takes us on a whirlwind as she travels to meet her father in the country she always dreamed of. But the title of Princess doesn’t always just come with a Tiara and fancy gowns.

Izzy is about to face the reality of her life with her conniving cousins and the press that’s hungry for the gossip around her life and also there’s this scowling yet handsome bodyguard who might be her true love.

Tokyo Ever After shows how the boring Japanese American teenager now has to learn the tradition that’s prevailed over thousands of years and Izzy catches herself between two different worlds and two different versions of herself.

In California, she was never American enough to fit in and in Japan, she’s got to prove that she’s Japanese enough to be worthy of her title.

Is this her fairytale coming true or will her fate just crumble down under the wrath of the princess crown?

Tokyo Ever After shows how the ordinary girl gets to find herself on an extraordinary journey.

Emiko Jean in this contemporary romance brings out the best of the characters and also introduces us to the world of Japan, the rich culture, and the contrasting difference between the two worlds.

What I loved about Tokyo Ever After is that along with Izzy we get to witness this cultural change in her life along with the heartwarming budding relationship with her bodyguard.

Tokyo Ever After is one of the best light, fun and romantic picks. I loved Izzy, her character is written perfectly to make us all relate to her. I just enjoyed the way she took in everything, the overnight truth about her father, the monarch, and her hot bodyguard she was brilliant.

And I enjoyed how Emiko showed the crown prince Izzy’s father accepted her like going us in awe of the caring dad.

I loved the relationship between Izzy and her bodyguard which was more like an enemy-to-lovers kind of trope but their chemistry was too good to ignore the hatred. And yes, Emiko Jean does it again.

Tokyo Ever After is one book that will keep you hooked till the very end, giving you all the feels, the conflicts to spoil your mood, and romance to warm your heart.

Tokyo Ever After is a must-read so check out this fun romantic story of our Izzy and her journey as a princess.

Part 2: Tokyo Ever After book review

Tokyo Ever After is one of the great contemporary romance books that you would love if you enjoyed stories like Crazy Rich Asians and The princess diaries. I always enjoyed the story of how the commoner becomes a princess and goes on to her life living on both sides of the world.

In Tokyo Ever After we see Izzy who travels to Japan after finding out that her father who she had never met is the crown prince in Japan and she’s a princess. Izzy whole her life like most teenagers as felt nothing special and like she never fits in the town.

As Izzy travels to Japan, her fairytale of being the princess may not be all that glamorous and fancy. With the expectations of learning the culture to blend in, with her cousins trying the tear her down and the hot bodyguard who she kind of hates and love Izzy takes us on a ride through her journey.

Izzy is one of the fun and witty characters that make this story so much better and Tokyo Ever After is one of the best books by Emiko Jean who gives us yet another beautiful, fun, and conflicted story with perfect twists and turns to make it an enjoyable story like never before.

Tokyo Ever After should make it on your list if you love something with a fluffy story of a teenager that’s filled with tons of drama, adventure, and a good love story that you witness blossom.
