The Royal We by. Heather Cooke and Jessica Morgan is a contemporary romance that’s a definition of a modern fairytale. The authors are known for their popular celebrity blog called Fug Girls and this is their fairy telling in a modern way.
The Royal We revolve around Rebecca Porter who is an American and unlike her twin sister Lucy, Rebecca isn’t a big fan of glamour, fame, or anything related to royalty. But she finds herself living down the hall from Nicholas.
Nicholas is the future King of Britain and this prince goes to the same college Oxford as Rebecca. Rebecca is looking for fun, and to make new friends when she meets Nick she has no idea about who he is.
Soon Nick and Rebecca start to blossom into a beautiful friendship and soon Rebecca can’t help but fall for the prince. But soon the couple is thrown into the reality of the spotlight and hunting paparazzi who want to see the prince’s girlfriend.
Even though Rebecca starts to live her modern fairytale in Kensington, ski trips she can’t ignore the tabloids. Throughout the years Rebecca tries to fit in for the sake of her lover who is one day going to be the king.
But Rebecca can’t help but wonder how much she has sacrificed herself to be with the man she loves.

The Royal We are an excellent royal fiction that you would enjoy. Heather and Jessica bring a lot of fun, humor, and spunk into their storytelling. It’s the character development and the way all the side characters blend in to steal our hearts.

Rebecca is an independent girl, she’s a determined girl who wants to seek adventure. I enjoyed how the authors show the spirited Rebecca in college.
We could relate to our, recollecting our College days. Rebecca is an American average girl who we could be friends with. But when she meets Nick, living down the hall it’s exciting to see how their friendship starts.
I enjoyed how Rebecca put her heart first and prioritized her relationship. Be it being a secret or holding herself when the tabloids finally get the hot gossip of the prince’s new girl.
Rebecca is one of the realistic characters that we meet in The Royal We.
Nicholas, our future King in The Royal We. Heather and Jessica brought responsibility and demeanor to Nick’s character.
Often we all fantasize about the royals and wonder how they will be or act. But for me Nick was convincing. He is the future King when he meets Rebecca. He’s aware of how their secret relationship can turn, into hot gossip and the tabloids who would never leave them alone.
But love finds its way.
The Royal We along with Rebecca and Nick features some of the best funny, lovable characters like Rebecca’s parents, their friends from college, or Nick’s younger brother. They all made this story more fun.

The Royal We, as the name suggests it’s a perfect royal Romance featuring the American girl and Britain’s future King. I always loved to know more about the royals, like we can’t ignore them. Do we?
They are popular like celebrities with the craze never ending and I always wanted to read a romance that can depict the royal family and The Royal We were a perfect start.
I loved how fun, and humorous the story was. The Royal We revolve around Rebecca and Nick, it shows their journey from becoming friends in college till walk down the aisle.
The Royal We does a brilliant job conveying various emotions of the spirited girl who feels hounded by the tabloids and she starts to think if she’s done the right thing. Marrying a prince might be a storyline straight out of fairytales but The Royal We shows the other side of the fantasy.
As I moved through each page I found myself getting connected to the characters, I loved how real they were, so flawed, so fun and so friendly to us readers, and the writers should take the credit here for their heartwarming writing.
Overall The Royal We were a good romance, it wasn’t an instant crush or hot spicy novel but it was worth the read and I would recommend it for readers who love a good romance in a contemporary style.
