Part 3: Some Analysis Of The Lunas Second Chance Mate Novel
The Lunas Second Chance Mate isn’t only all about a female MC experiencing rejection from her previous Alpha, getting tortured, and finally, meeting up with another Alpha and living happily ever after with her second-chance mate. The rejection part in this novel even has some unique touches in the storyline.
It all starts with Jennifer’s jealousy. Yet, I would like to replace the word “jealousy” with “envy” when thinking about Jennifer’s cruel manifestation of Alisa’s (later: Alyson)’s life. That way, envy becomes one of the seven deadly sins for a reason. If Jennifer wasn’t that demon-possessed, Alisa would live a happy life in the Crowalt pack, the most powerful werewolf pack in the area.
Yet, Jennifer is not alone in playing her nasty games. Alpha Jacob chooses to believe Jennifer because he is also an Alpha who sees the Clark she-wolves as objects to fulfill his need for their blood. So, I’m glad that the Moon Goddess saves Alisa and opens her mind to realize her true identity as Alyson while she is with the Starstream pack, the pack where Alpha Ryan, her second-chance mate, belongs.
The Starstream pack might not be as powerful as the Crowalt pack. At least, the pack members see Alyson as herself instead of a mere blood bank to fulfill the pack’s pact. Acceptance is the key for Alyson to be confident in herself and embrace her true identity.
Anyway, Alisa doesn’t undergo a name change to Alyson in The Lunas Second Chance Mate. She starts with a blurt-out about her full name, and such an awakened state of mind despite her fragile conditions makes the stories in The Lunas Second Chance Mate more interesting.
Part 4: Conclusive Remarks Of The Lunas Second Chance Mate Novel
The storyline of The Lunas Second Chance Mate is not only all about Alisa a.k.a. Alyson’s encounters with her second-chance mate. Here, the Moon Goddess also doesn’t remain as the passive entity whom everybody else mentions but never makes a physical appearance. After all, the Moon Goddess comes to the dying Alisa while talking about her prophecy to the dying Clark she-wolf.
So, The Lunas Second Chance Mate also tells stories about Alisa’s second life as Alyson. Alyson of the Starstream pack is no longer the hopeless romantic Alisa of the Crowalt pack, as she has lived a happily-ever-after life with Alpha Ryan, her second-chance mate. Michael and other personnel in the Starstream pack also take care of Alyson much better than when she is in the Crowalt pack.
The Starstream pack’s residence is the first place where Alyson feels like a Luna for the first time in her life. She no longer has to tie her blood with the fact that she should have nothing to involve herself in. Here, she learns the values of mating, because Alpha Ryan sees her as she is.
