Part 1: The Stunning Backstory Of “Sir, Your Ex-Wife Is Already Dead” Novel

The public envies Jazmine Gardner for her ability to marry Giancarlo Tapia, the person in charge of the Tapia Group. Yet, they know nothing about Jazmine’s four years of painful marriage life. Not only that Giancarlo rarely touches her within these four married years. Giancarlo also hates Jazmine with passion.

In “Sir, Your Ex-Wife Is Already Dead” novel, Giancarlo’s hatred towards Jazmine manifests in different ways. First, he skips Jazmine’s cooked meals. Second, he falls asleep whenever Jazmine speaks. The third part, which also holds the most portions in the earlier chapter, is Giancarlo’s feelings of “having to do a series of mundane tasks” whenever he touches Jazmine.

One night, Giancarlo is drunk. For the first time in Jazmine’s life, she feels a different Giancarlo when Giancarlo suddenly becomes passionate and loving to her in bed. Yet, “Yoselin” is the woman’s name he mentions.

Giancarlo accuses Jazmine of playing with his feelings when he “becomes sober”. He also laughs at Jazmine’s request to have a child with him, while blaming her for taking away Yoselin’s legal wife position. Yoselin also joins Giancarlo in mocking Jazmine and telling Giancarlo’s plan to take over the Gardner Group to make her Mrs. Tapia instead of Jazmine.

Later, in “Sir, Your Ex-Wife Is Already Dead,” Jazmine is shocked to find her family’s company’s customers have run away. To make matters worse, both Jazmine and Yoselin got hospitalized due to their pregnancy. Yet, Giancarlo only visits Yoselin. He also accuses Jazmine of killing his child with Yoselin.

These things led Jazmine to sign the divorce paper and move on. On the other hand, Giancarlo’s refusal to let Jazmine go leads to his madness when his assistant announces, “Sir, Your Ex-Wife Is Already Dead,”

Will such a scene reveal Yoselin’s wicked and cunning nature to the public? To what extent will Giancarlo regain his sanity and move on with his life?

Chapter 3: We Shall Divorce

With the title of “We Shall Divorce”, Chapter 3 of “Sir, Your Ex-Wife Is Already Dead” novel tells stories about Jazmine’s realization of what kind of man Giancarlo truly is. The story starts by telling us about Yoselin’s phone terrors to Jazmine. Yoselin’s three consecutive phone calls eventually lead to these two women’s meetings, where Yoselin utterly humiliates Jazmine.

Jazmine slaps Yoselin twice because she can’t resist Yoselin’s demeaning words. Yoselin only stops to play her victim cards when Giancarlo steps in. At this point, Jazmine is still in love with Giancarlo. However, Giancarlo’s acts of standing up for Yoselin and requests for Jazmine’s signatures in the divorce paper trigger Jazmine to change her mindset.

Chapter 5: Bankrupt

One of the most surprising things I find when I read “Sir, Your Ex-Wife Is Already Dead” Chapter 5 lies in how the bodyguards sympathize with the heavily injured Jazmine. The bodyguards are generally obedient, particularly when their bosses are influential figures like Giancarlo. However, this time, the bodyguards remind Jazmine to take care of her wounds.

Owen is one of the most caring bodyguards. He has acknowledged Jazmine’s sufferings since she was still Giancarlo’s wife. Additionally, he doesn’t support his master’s relationship with Yoselin. Yet, he doesn’t dare to defy his master’s order to monitor Jazmine’s movements and ensures she can’t go outside.

Chapter 6: Not Qualified

“If she dies, that will be a happy ending,” is a statement Giancarlo says to calm Yoselin down in “Sir, Your Ex-Wife Is Already Dead” Chapter 6. Now that Yoselin has heard Giancarlo say these words, she repeats her black campaigns to Jazmine by sending Giancarlo’s audio to Jazmine’s phone in the form of a text message.

Yoselin’s black campaigns become the overflowing water to Jazmine’s burning flames of desire to continue her life. Rex Geller, Jazmine’s private doctor, can’t understand how can Jazmine’s ex-husband utter such a cruel message. At the same time, Jazmine’s mother urges her to have a child with the unreachable Giancarlo out of her glimmering hope that only the Tapia family can rescue the Gardner family.

Part 3: An Analysis Of “Sir, Your Ex-Wife Is Already Dead” Novel

Generally, divorce romance stories involving two wealthy families will involve many emotional roller-coasters. Yet, I would refer to the “Sir, Your Ex-Wife Is Already Dead” novel as the ultimate roller-coaster. It’s because the divorce between Jazmine and Giancarlo doesn’t stay as Jazmine’s acts of signing the paper and Giancarlo’s refusal to let her go.

Yoselin, the third party in Jazmine and Giancarlo’s failed marriage, doesn’t stay as a mistress with minor appearance portions in “Sir, Your Ex-Wife Is Already Dead” Her psychological tricks are superb in that she causes Jazmine to lose her will to live. I’ve read mistress’ play victim cards in other novels, but only a few mistresses can match Yoselin’s wicked nature.

“Sir, Your Ex-Wife Is Already Dead” also contains many mental health-related issues. The physical and emotional abuse Jazmine experiences from Giancarlo and Yoselin, and the bodyguards’ inability to protect her, are two things that slowly destroy Jazmine’s characteristics. Jazmine has sacrificed her identity since the first day of her marriage to Giancarlo, and now, the miserable occurrences lead her to lose herself even more.

The “dead” part in “Sir, Your Ex-Wife Is Already Dead” can refer to the classical saying, “Death is only the beginning,” Jazmine isn’t the only one going mad after Giancarlo and Yoselin’s terrors. Giancarlo eventually suffers from the same madness when people around him tell him what’s going on with Jazmine.

Then, Jazmine’s death doesn’t equal Giancarlo and Yoselin’s triumph over her. It opens Yoselin’s true face to the public. Soon, Giancarlo will also regret and learn from his mistakes.

Part 4: An Alternative Novel To “Sir, Your Ex-Wife Is Already Dead”

A fairytale prince only acts kind when he is on the fairytale show. His acts of kindness are fake because he does it to save his reputation. The same also goes to Giancarlo. His refusal to let Jazmine go despite both parties having signed the divorce paper is not because he realizes his mistakes and loves Jazmine. Instead, it’s because he needs Jazmine as an egg donor to Yoselin.

Some trigger warning questions: What is it like to die peacefully rather than having to deal with the demons in your marriage? What about dying on the wedding or honeymoon day? Good news: “Sir, Your Ex-Wife Is Already Dead” isn’t the only novel to answer these questions, as we can always find an alternate book.

For instance, we can read “Cinderella’s Dead”. In this novel, Andrew, Cindy Coleman’s new fairytale prince husband, kills her on their wedding day. Such a miserable thing happens when the two characters board a superyacht that Cindy’s parents give to her. Andrew’s deluded thought is to replicate the Titanic movie.

Yet, Andrew’s foolish acts turn into disaster when Cindy dies. Based on my observations, Andrew’s actions might seem too impulsive. Yet, it’s far better than Yoselin’s play victim cards. At least, Cindy’s earlier death than Jazmine’s feels less painful.
