It’s just another morning for Lilac. Her father is the Gamma of the pack, thus he needs to head for training, which means that, once again Lilac can’t sleep in as she needs to get to training as well.
Ever since her mother died, she grew up with her father and, although he loved and protected her, he couldn’t understand her girlie needs. He treated her like any other member of the pack when it came to training. She couldn’t miss a day.
Quickly gulping down her breakfast, Lilac headed for the training field, where Reece and Leeland were waiting for her. They were her best friends and Leeland was even the next Alpha in line. He was gorgeous, generous and smart and he was always paying attention to Lilac’s needs.
Again, in training, they were supposed to learn how to run and avoid conflicts. Although she was an agile wolf, Lilac already knew she could never flee a battle scene, as she had never been as fast as the other wolves.
This is why she mostly concentrated on learning how to fight. Instead of running away, she would always have the option to retaliate. The Gamma urged his daughter to a run for her life when the training began, as part of following instructions, yet Lilac didn’t put any effort into running. She knew it was to no avail.
Infuriated with his daughter for not following training rules, the Gamma punishes her. Ever since he lost his mate, he wanted Lilac to be able to escape from any hard situation, even if it meant to flee and not look back. For him, it was more important to know she was safe than anything else.
Reprimanded after training, Lilac yells at her father, claiming she can’t wait to meet her mate and go someplace else and never come back.
The words hurt the Gamma who punished the girl on her birthday, not allowing her to step away from her room.
A naughty Lilac rebels against her father’s wishes and she takes a rash decision. She calls Reece and Leeland and asks them to go clubbing together. Leeland is disappointed when meeting Lilac as he had secretly hoped he was her mate and they would bond on her birthday.
After a few drinks and dancing, Leeland gathers his courage and kisses the girl, professing his love for her and his desire to make her his chosen Luna.
But as Lilac was sipping her drink, a sweet scent enveloped her and she realized that her mate was there. Unfortunately, he was Beta Jackson. Lilac and Jackson disliked each other ever since the girl rejected him.
Now, with the mate bond in place, the Beta grabbed her arm and took her to the man’s room, demanding that she took her clothes off. He believed it was his right as her mate to claim her body even though he only wanted to use her.
Lilac didn’t want her first time to be like this, in a stinky bathroom, with a boy she actually loathed, so she started fighting to release herself from his grasp.
Jackson ripped her panties and as he was about to make a move on her, Leeland broke the door and saved the girl, injuring Jackson pretty bad.
Shocked by what could have happened, Lilac started sobbing and she had no idea how she ended up in her father’s arms. This time, Gamma James promised to not let her out of his sight ever again.
The next day though, as Alpha Cam was hosting a meeting, Lilac caught sight of the handsome Alpha Axe, who also started to gaze at her. The two immediately realized that they were mates and even though James tried to avoid their contact, Lilac nor Alpha Axe allowed him to separate them.
Alpha Axe was known to be a ruthless leader. His brutality knew no boundaries, especially when it came to protecting what belonged to him and now Lilac was his.

Hope filled Lilac thinking that the Moon Goddess had given her a second chance mate. Other wolves hadn’t even met a mate in their lifetime and she already met two.
Lilac couldn’t help herself from noticing just how hot and scary altogether Alpha Axe looked. She tries to pass her dad on her way to her mate, but Gamma James stops her. He doesn’t want his daughter anywhere close to that man.
Lilac sneaks behind her father’s back and reaches for her mate, wrapping her arms around him. Again, James pleads with Alpha Cam to take Lilac away from Alpha Axe, but he can’t do that, as it’s against the law to keep willing mates apart.
As Alpha Axe plans to take Lilac with him the next day, the Gamma growls, not willing to allow his daughter leave the pack. Enraged, Axe threatens to bring war and chaos to the pack if anyone should interfere between him and his mate.

Werewolf romance books are my cup of tea when it comes to romance novels. I fancy the ideas of love at first sight and mates for life and I also enjoy an Alpha male lead character who is strong, fierce and holds his ground.
But Alpha Axe is unlike any other male lead character I have read about so far. He has a darker side which brings him a mysterious aura. He is fierce with his enemies and yet he can be so soft around Lilac.
Lilac is not a soft cookie either. She was trained by her father, a worthy wolf warrior, so she can definitely handle her mate.
