Part 1: Meet The Characters Of My Sleeping Beauty Husband

Cynthia Miller

Cynthia Miller of My Sleeping Beauty Husband might be the Miller family’s illegitimate daughter. However, her compassionate and caring nature distinguishes her from Cherry Miller and the rest of the Miller family members. In addition, Cynthia is also a persistent woman in doing kind things to people around her.

Cynthia might be aware of her father’s plays in treating her as a substitute wife to Alston Smith. However, she carries the duty obediently. She also doesn’t get upset easily, which makes Greg, Alston’s assistant, feel more confident in referring to her as Mrs. Smith.

Alston Smith

Alston Smith of My Sleeping Beauty Husband isn’t just another wealthiest billionaire character in the novel. With his uncountable net worth, Alston is also the ultimate ruler of the Miller family, the most powerful family in Fort.

Unfortunately, Alston involved himself in a car accident in the past years. Such things left him in a vegetative state, and Clare Smith bought all of his company shares. The company stocks left him without choices other than getting married, even to a substitute bride.

In My Sleeping Beauty Husband’s novel, Cherry Miller, Cynthia’s sister, should be the one who marries Alston. However, Cynthia’s father is cunning enough to set the scenes up by making her replace Cherry’s place in being Alston’s bride. According to Alston’s perspectives, his initial reaction to Cynthia’s acts after he is awake is normal.

Part 2: The Primary Plots Of My Sleeping Beauty Husband Novel

My Sleeping Beauty Husband is an arranged marriage book, in which the primary plot has the Miller family as the focus. In this novel, nobody questions the influence the Miller family possesses in the Fort region. The billionaire Alston Smith stands on the top part of this ultra-rich family.

Rich families always have things to offer to their children. For Beck Miller, the head of the Miller family in My Sleeping Beauty Husband novel, it only applies to Cherry Miller. It can apply to other Miller family members, but not to the illegitimate daughter, Cynthia Miller.

Cynthia’s existence is only to fulfill the family’s egoistical and questionable desire. Such treatment makes Greg, the family’s and Alston’s assistant, not listen to her. Cynthia also has nothing to say in her marriage life except to agree to become the substitute wife of Alston Smith, who is currently in a vegetative state.

In My Sleeping Beauty Husband, Cynthia’s baggage doesn’t only stop in becoming the substitute wife and taking care of her vegetative husband. She also deals with Alston’s negligence of her needs. Alston does it all because he feels forced to marry a woman he doesn’t love. That way, Alston appears indifferent and stubborn to Cynthia.

On the other hand, Cynthia is patient in attending to Alston’s needs, such as cooking his dinner, feeding him, and bathing him. She also doesn’t get angry or upset easily when Alston doesn’t fulfill her needs. Unfortunately, indifference stays the way it is, and Alston treats Cynthia as a mere lover.

One day, in My Sleeping Beauty Husband, Cynthia can’t help but blurt out her feelings to Alston. She hopes her husband will treat her like a wife instead of only a substitute or a lover. Will she succeed in doing so? Will Alston warm up to Cynthia and realize she’s the only woman he should love?

Part 3: Further Impressions Of My Sleeping Beauty Husband Novel

My Sleeping Beauty Husband has several evergreen themes in the romance novel world: An arranged marriage among rich individuals, being a substitute wife, and the female MC’s status as a scapegoat (or an illegitimate child) in the family. In addition, it’s also not my first time reading about a vegetative-stated husband who acts rude toward his wife upon his awakening.

Yet, I find some elements of My Sleeping Beauty Husband likable when I compare it with similar novels. For instance, I would say this novel is a safe-to-read novel because My Sleeping Beauty Husband novel lacks suspenseful scenes. Sure, I find several suggestive scenes between Cynthia and Alston. Yet, Alston is not that hard on Cynthia.

Alston knows Cynthia is not the actual bride. At the same time, his heart is not on Cynthia’s Golden Child sister. Even though the novel’s parts don’t explicitly mention Alston’s love interest tendency, I believe the idea of love is far-fetched for an individual like Alston. After all, he’s a successful businessman, and all he cares about is something or someone bringing benefits to his businesses.

Alston may feel the pressure when Greg tells him Clare Smith bought the company stocks while he was in his vegetative state. However, a part of me still thinks Alston is a decent human; he doesn’t hurt or torture Cynthia despite his struggling feelings. He only expresses his initial disinterest in what Cynthia has to offer.

When I read My Sleeping Beauty Husband, I also admire Cynthia’s persistence without whining or complaining about how unfairly Alston treats her. She continues to do good to her husband, and other characters see her patience. I wish I could emulate these parts of her!

Part 4: Similar Novel To My Sleeping Beauty Husband

Getting married to an attractive-looking man in his vegetative state might be risky, especially when we are in Cynthia’s position as an illegitimate daughter. However, such a theme is always attractive in romance novels. It also has the potential to have more unlockable chapters and attract more readers to read the characters’ marriage lives.
