Maddie applied for a job as the personal assistant to a renowned business man, Gabriel Wilson. Gabriel Wilson was popular in the city of Chicago as the CEO of WEC company.

A job that she really did not need apart from the fact that she wanted to ”fill her bucket list.” He Only Married Me To Show Her That He Already Moved On Book narrates the fact that even though Gabriel Wilson was the most arrogant and rude boss anyone could think of having, Maddie was able to handle his excesses.

But something usually tugged at Maddie’s heart most times when she was around Gabriel Wilson, even though she could not exactly point out what it was that always tugged at her heart. Along the line of work, she found out a secret about her boss, Gabriel Wilson.

Gossip reached Maddie’s ears that the reason Gabriel Wilson was the way he was had to do with the fact that his dear fianccé, probably the only woman the arrogant man had ever loved in his life, left him for another suitor. Painful. Gabriel Wilson could not take it.

He Only Married Me To Show Her That He Already Moved On highlighted how crazy Gabriel Wilson was over his ex-fianccé. He went as far as hiring a private investigator to track her whereabouts until he could not bring himself to hold back his jealousy anymore, and then he sought Maddie’s help to play the game of revenge and ‘I am doing better than you,’ the ex-lovers are fond of playing even in our everyday life.

Break up with a partner, and then glow up more than you were when you were with your partner so that he or she would feel jealous. That was the game Gabriel Wilson resorted to, using Maddie’s help.

A game, a deal clearly stated to Maddie which she agreed to, had her in a maze at the end of the day.

Do not fall in love with Gabriel Wilson, that was the plan, but Maddie’s heart was already tilted toward him even before he came forward with the deal. Now, Maddie had to handle the fact that she would watch Gabriel Wilson every day, swoon and gloat about another woman that he was in love with, while she was right there beside him, hopelessly in love with him.

He Only Married Me To Show Her That He Already Moved On is an interesting book worth every read if only one would be able to get past the difficult grammar and tenses in the book. Apart from that, the book is a solid one. Although it carries a slow pace as far as the main plot is concerned, the author did well to make the extra plots interesting enough so as not to get the readers bored. Great effort.
