Counterattack Book Review: Rising Son

The Rising Son novel Dreame tells us a story about Gael Taylor, an orphaned boy who doesn’t know that he is the son of Levi Taylor, the richest person in his environment, and also the president of the renowned Taylor Group, America’s largest conglomerate group.

He knows these things from Violet Glenn, who called him after he received 15 million dollars in his bank account.

Those things happened after Gael was kicked out by the bodyguards of Johnny Miller, the man whose materialistic girlfriend has cheated on him in the Moonlight Club of Razor City. At that time, he still believed the story that he was all-broke and went on part-time jobs to cover the debts, and there was no way for someone like him to beat the trained bodyguards.

Now that Gael Taylor of the Rising Son novel knows his DNA test result matches with Levi Taylor’s as his father, it’s time for him to get even on his materialistic girlfriend, Dawn, in Razor City, the city where he currently lives in.

After Gael gets rid of the Millers who have formed close relationships with Forrest Smith, the owner of Moonlight Club, he will finish the materialistic and narcissistic Dawn and never look back.

Violet Glenn, Gael’s assistant, and her bodyguards are the saviors in the scenes of Rising Son. Wondering how Violet and the bodyguards save the child of Levi Taylor’s life?

Part 1: Meet The Characters Of Rising Son

Gael Taylor

When we first read the stories in Rising Son, we might feel surprised to know that Gael would have a significantly rich background. In the first few chapters, the author of Rising Son tells us that Gael struggles to be debt-free by taking part-time jobs.

It’s all because of Dawn, his materialistic girlfriend, who, later on, cheats with the super-rich Johnny Miller. He lives in a simple dormitory and takes on regular Diploma classes.

Who knows, Gael is a son of Levi Taylor, the president of Taylor Group, America’s most renowned conglomerate group? As the heir of the Taylor Group, he has access to 80 million funds in his family’s black card.

Plus, he has all the rights to fire people in Taylor Group whose ranks are below Directors, also the Millers and his former girlfriend who mess around with his life.

Violet Glenn

Violet Glenn of Rising Son is the personal assistant of Gael Taylor. She declares herself that way after confirming the 15-million-dollar transfers to Gael’s bank account and informing him that he is the separated child of the ultra-rich Levi Taylor.

Everybody in the Rising Son novel acknowledges Violet as a super-attractive woman. Not stopping there, Violet is also raised at the Bluebird Orphanage, the exclusive orphanage from the Taylor Group, and she is the best graduate there. She is protective towards her Master, Gael Taylor, while also being seductive at the same time.

Dawn

Next, in Rising Son, we also know the materialistic ex-girlfriend of Gael Taylor, Dawn. From the start of the chapter, we know that Dawn cares for no one and nothing other than money. She will flirt with just everybody else for the sake of their money. We also know that Dawn chooses to date Gael because of Gael’s generosity towards her.

She is also prone to throw fake apologies whenever she needs to. As we read through the chapters in Rising Son, we know the true ugly face and the loser mentality that this woman possesses.

Part 2: Story About Rising Son

The stories of Rising Son begin by telling us about the seemingly-modest-looking Gael Taylor, a Diploma student who barely makes a living through his part-time jobs.

Later on, it turns out that his cheating girlfriend, Dawn, is the one who forces him into the broken situation by forcing him to buy iPhones and other expensive goods. The disappointed Gael then has to meet his cruel fate through Johnny’s trained bodyguards who beat him and left him all washed in his blood.

Thankfully, Gael still can hear the “Ding!” noises on his phone. The surprised Gael learns from Violet Glenn, the woman on the phone, the fact that he is the long-separated son of Levi Taylor, the owner of Taylor Group, America’s #1 conglomerate group. So, that’s why he received 15 million dollars all of a sudden.

The revenge begins when Gael tells Violet he is in the Moonlight Club of Razor City. The Taylor Group in the Rising Son novel is so famous that everyone, including Forrest Smith (or Mr. Smith), the owner of Moonlight Club, immediately recognizes Violet. As soon as Mr. Smith orders them to clear the club, Violet begins to save her Master’s life.

In the first few parts of the Rising Son novel, we know that Violet’s bodyguards beat Miller’s bodyguards. The “Any offenses made against Mr. Taylor will not be tolerated,” order instantly sends the Millers to be estranged from Mr. Smith. She also helps Gael ignore his loser ex-girlfriend and proceeds to save him in the Marriott Hotel.

Part 3: Meet The Author Of Rising Son

When we look at Flower Field’s profiles on Dreame, we know that Flower Field, the author of Rising Son, is a new author in Dreame. It is because the Rising Son novel is the only novel that the author has written on Dreame’s platform.

Plus, Flower Field only has plenty of visitors and followers when compared with more experienced authors. Not to forget that the author doesn’t have any profile pictures at the time I write this review. Nonetheless, the only novel, which is the Rising Son, has been one of the most viewed novels on Dreame. So far, there are more than 22.9K reads for the Rising Son novel.

In my opinion, such mega-achievements are because Flower Field as the author has pictured the settings in the novel realistically. Flower Field mentions America and the black card, the card that real people associate with ultra-rich people, in this novel. In addition, Flower Field also chooses the correct background and the character’s facial expressions on the book’s cover.

I won’t be surprised if, later on, there are sequels to this novel. At least, this book can be one of the best-selling books on the Dreame platform, regardless of the author’s newness to the platform.
